The Department of Justice (DOJ) is terminating a settlement it reached with the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) addressing raw sewage discharge in a poor, majority Black area of the state, calling it an “illegal” agreement focused on diversity equity & inclusion (DEI) and environmental justice (EJ).
