EJ Groups’ Suit Claims California Air District Allows Invalid Offset Credits

Environmental and equity groups are charging in a new federal Clean Air Act lawsuit that California’s San Joaquin Valley air district has for years allowed industrial facilities to use invalid pollution-offset credits to meet permit emission limits, and they are asking the court to scrap those credits and direct the district and facilities to “remedy” the situation.
