Environmentalists Say TRI Data Shows Facilities Dodged PFAS Reporting

Environmentalists say early Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) shows that EPA is improperly allowing all but 38 facilities nationwide to claim “de minimis” exemptions from reporting, limiting data that officials could use to craft TSCA and other rules for the chemicals.
