EPA Agrees To Act On California Heavy-Duty Smog Check Rules In SIP

EPA is proposing a consent decree with a California environmental justice group to approve or disapprove by July 31 the state’s first-time heavy-duty truck “smog check” testing program as a revision to a state implementation plan (SIP) to attain federal air standards, with approval making the regulation federally enforceable.
