EPA Asks Court To Reopen Landmark Denka Air Act Enforcement Suit

EPA is asking a federal district court to reopen its landmark Clean Air Act endangerment lawsuit seeking to force Louisiana-based Denka Performance Elastomer (DPE) to dramatically reduce chloroprene emissions from the nation’s only synthetic rubber manufacturing plant, after the company won a two-year extension of new regulatory limits on its releases.
