EPA Delays Final Decision On New Mexico Petition For PFAS RCRA Listing

EPA is punting to a later date a decision on whether it will grant New Mexico’s petition to designate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) as “hazardous waste” as a class or individually and regulate the chemicals under federal waste law, saying talks with the state are ongoing despite reaching a statutory deadline to act.
