EPA Denies Novel TSCA GHG Petition, Citing Lack Of Regulatory Authority

EPA is denying a novel petition from a group of climate scientists who had asked the agency to regulate and ultimately phase out greenhouse gas emissions under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), finding their petition was “insufficiently specific” and that the agency lacks “TSCA authority to regulate historical GHG” emissions.
