EPA Grants First Industry Requests For TSCA Analyses Despite Legal Threats

EPA has granted first-time chemical industry requests to assess risks of two phthalate chemicals under the revised Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) despite warnings from environmentalists that approving the requests would be unlawful in part because they did not comply with the agency’s data requirements.
