EPA is nearing final approval of canola oil as a feedstock for the manufacture of “advanced” low-carbon fuels qualified to earn credit under the renewable fuel standard (RFS), an important step to attain Biden administration biofuels production goals including the massively scaled-up production of aviation fuel sourced from biomass.
