EPA Official Flags Need For ‘National’ Applicability In Gas Plant GHG Rule

A top EPA official developing a proposed update to greenhouse gas standards for gas-fired power plants is noting that such standards must be nationally applicable, suggesting that control options like carbon capture and storage (CCS) or hydrogen blending might fail that test because they are only available regionally.
