EPA Pressing DOJ To Ensure Agencies Follow Title VI In NEPA Reviews

EPA’s civil rights office is pressing the Justice Department (DOJ) to require that other agencies ensure recipients of federal funds comply with antidiscrimination provisions in Title VI of the Civil Rights Act (CRA) when conducting National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reviews, saying Title VI compliance goes beyond environmental law compliance.
