EPA is rejecting concerns from trailer manufacturers that they could face compliance burdens if a federal appeals court grants the agency's bid to pause litigation over the phase 2 greenhouse gas and fuel economy rules for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, saying the Jan. 1, 2018, compliance duty would not be affected by delaying the suit.
