EPA Renews Push For FERC To Assess ‘Climate Damages’ Of Gas Projects

EPA regional offices are urging the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to offer more robust climate analyses of two proposed natural gas infrastructure projects, including use of the social cost of carbon (SCC) metric, adding to the increasing pressure on the commission for tougher climate reviews.
