EPA Seeks Review After Scientists’ Intractable Clash On Chemical Risk Data

Disagreement between EPA scientists in its toxics office and other programs over which studies to use in the TSCA evaluations of two closely linked chemical solvents was so severe that the agency took the rare step of seeking an “internal peer review” to resolve the dispute, and is now asking external peer reviewers to weigh in on the issues as well.
