EPA Sends PFAS Drinking Water Rule To OMB For Interagency Review

The White House Office of Management & Budget (OMB) has begun review of EPA’s much-anticipated, first-ever rule to set enforceable Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) limits for PFAS, expected to cover six of the chemicals, although it is questionable whether OMB can complete its review in time to meet the agency’s January 2024 target for promulgation due to the rule’s complexity.
