EPN Seeks PFAS ‘Emergency’ In Senate NDAA To Back CWA Streamlining

Former EPA officials are urging key Senate committee chairs to back more expansive measures for regulating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the defense authorization bill, including declaring a PFAS “health emergency” to justify a streamlining of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to speed development of technology-based effluent limits for key sectors.
