Agriculture industry groups are backing EPA’s denial of environmentalists’ 2017 petition seeking revised effluent limits for concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs), charging that petitioners’ arguments are meritless as they wrongly assert that EPA’s CAFO program undermines its Clean Water Act (CWA) duties, among other issues.
