Industry Seeks Overhaul Of TSCA New-Chemical Rules To Speed PMN Review

An industry coalition is petitioning EPA to overhaul its rules governing TSCA reviews of new chemicals in order to loosen and accelerate the delay-plagued process, laying out an agenda including a new administrative appeal process for risk findings, penalties when the agency misses deadlines and more deference to applicants’ data, among other changes.
