The textile industry is signaling it will fight proposed restrictions on the Defense Department’s (DOD) procurement of firefighting gear containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), after House and Senate Armed Services committees included bipartisan provisions in their annual defense bills limiting such purchases.
