Judge Backs Precedent-Setting Manganese Deal Over Industry Objections

A federal district court judge has agreed with Trump administration calls to uphold a precedent-setting settlement, negotiated by Obama officials, governing manganese emissions from an industrial site, rejecting calls from metals industry groups who fear it will open the door to new enforcement and tort actions at other facilities.
