A long-time industry lawyer is warning that EPA’s recently issued guidance on lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery disposal has “major outstanding questions,” criticizing the agency for lack of transparency on hazardous waste rules as applied to batteries, and for being “silent” on critical recycling issues.
