In Lesson For EPA Buyouts, IG Audit Faults Office's Unapproved 'Early Outs'

Providing a lesson for the Trump EPA as it seeks to ramp up employee buyouts and early retirements, a new Inspector General audit finds that Office of Inspector General's (OIG) buyout program during fiscal year 2014 was mismanaged, minimally supervised, and resulted in almost $350,000 in unapproved payments.
