OMB Starts Review Of EPA’s Proposed PFAS ELG For Chemical Facilities

The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has begun formal interagency review of EPA’s proposed technology-based discharge limits of PFAS from chemical manufacturing facilities, which if finalized would become the first PFAS effluent limitations guidelines (ELGs) for any industry sector. OMB received the proposal June 14, according to OMB’s website. Such interagency review typically takes 90 days but can take more or less time depending on the proposal.
