Private Peer Review Panel Backs Cumulative TSCA Phthalate Assessment

An anonymous panel hired by a contractor to peer review EPA’s proposed approach for a cumulative TSCA risk assessment of six phthalates has among its initial conclusions decided unanimously that grouping “select” phthalates for a cumulative assessment is “useful” for improving human health risk assessment, providing a potential boost to the project.
