Senate Democrats in a new bill are pressing EPA to list several per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) as air toxics, a move that would presage first-time air regulation of the chemicals, after the agency’s just-released strategy to reduce PFAS committed only to gathering information as an initial step toward eventual regulation.
