Senators Introduce Sweeping Wildfire Bill Promoting ‘Prescribed’ Fire

A bipartisan group of Western senators is introducing a bill to mitigate the risks and effects of wildfires in the region, promoting use of “prescribed” fire and establishing a new interagency body to coordinate policy that includes EPA supporting federal land managers with air quality modeling and guidance to provide regulatory exemptions.
