ARB: SAN JOAQUIN FAILING TO APPLY BACT, CUT PERMIT BACKLOG

The San Joaquin Valley air district is failing to require some stationary sources to meet best available control technology (BACT) and must reduce a mammoth backlog of permit applications for a variety of industrial applications, according to a state air board audit released this week.
