New Funds Drive Push To Reconsider EPA’s Brownfields Cleanup Policy

As EPA is poised to distribute billions of dollars in brownfields cleanup grants that Congress approved in the bipartisan infrastructure law, officials are being urged to reconsider the agency’s long-held approach to cleaning up such sites to levels needed for future reuse, in order to better address environmental justice (EJ) concerns.
