Biofuels study touts ethanol’s health benefits

A new review article published by two Midwestern universities with support from the biofuels industry finds that ethanol in gasoline lowers cancer risk for the public by displacing harmful additives otherwise required to raise petroleum’s octane levels and keep engines running smoothly, helping to build the case for more ethanol use in vehicles.
