3M Exiting PFAS Market As It Faces Massive Environmental Liabilities

Chemical giant 3M has announced it will stop producing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and discontinue their use in its products by the end of 2025, as it continues to face hundreds of millions of dollars in potential PFAS-related environmental liability and growing litigation over the toxic substances.
