EPA Sends Final PFAS Reporting Rule To OMB Following Battle On Costs

The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has begun review of EPA’s statutorily-mandated data-gathering rule for PFAS manufacturing and importing, after the agency raised its cost estimate from just $10.8 million to $875 million -- which in turn prompted fresh calls from industry for broad exemptions or de minimis reporting thresholds.
