Regulators Back CERCLA PFAS Rule But Note Implementation Concerns

Former EPA staff and current state waste regulators are expressing wholehearted support for EPA’s proposed Superfund PFAS rule, backing its legal position and the creation of a consistent national framework while also suggesting ways to mitigate implementation challenges, such as water utilities’ liability concerns, through enforcement discretion and other policies.
