Environmentalists are expanding their efforts to force the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to assess adverse environmental effects of approving new telecom infrastructure just as the sector is in the midst of a massive buildout to construct new 5G networks, launch new commercial satellites and deploy more broadband services.
