California scientists have adopted public health goals (PHGs) for the two most-studied PFAS, teeing up an effort by state water regulators to develop drinking water maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) for the chemicals -- though the state plans to follow on an interim basis first-time national MCLs for these and four other PFAS that EPA just finalized.
