EPA Rule Seeks To Limit Use Of OB/OD With Alternatives Analysis Mandate

EPA has released a long-delayed proposal to set new requirements for facilities’ open burning/open detonation (OB/OD) of waste munitions and other hazardous waste, including a first-time administrative process and timelines for identifying “alternative treatment technologies,” though the agency is not proposing to codify any particular method as preferred.
