EWG Seeks EPA CERCLA Data, Looking To Blunt Push For PFAS Carveouts

Environmentalists are asking EPA for data on Superfund settlements it has reached with municipal landfills and water utilities, as well as its exercise of enforcement discretion in such cases, seeking to bolster their case that such entities can quickly resolve their liability while obviating the need for carveouts for such “passive receivers” of PFAS contamination.
