Industry, Environmentalists Clash On CASAC’s NAAQS Review Advice

Industry groups are rejecting draft advice from EPA’s Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) that calls for more in-depth reviews of national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), saying this would worsen EPA’s delays in completing reviews. “CASAC’s recommended changes to the NAAQS review process are inappropriate, unnecessary, and unwise.
