IRIS Assessments For Two PFAS Could Drive EPA To Tighten SDWA Rule

EPA’s draft Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) assessments of two PFAS that the agency is planning to regulate in its first-time drinking water rule are orders of magnitude more stringent than the values EPA used in crafting the measure, raising the possibility that officials could strengthen the rule once the IRIS values are finalized.
