EPA URGES STATES TO ADOPT NOVEL EFFICIENCY PORTFOLIO STANDARDS

EPA is calling on states to require utilities to meet a portion of future electricity demand through efficiency projects, as part of an emerging strategy known as an energy efficiency portfolio standard.
