HOLMSTEAD OFFERS DEADLINE EXTENSIONS TO HELP STATES MEET PM RULES

EPA air chief Jeffrey Holmstead may grant states a five-year extension of deadlines to meet strict new standards for fine particles (PM2.5), and also wants to give states more flexibility under a companion standard for ozone.
