Ohio River Basin States Launch Novel Nutrient Trading Pilot Program

With support from EPA, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana have signed an agreement to launch a novel nutrient trading pilot program in the Ohio River basin that allows point sources to offset their nutrient loads with reductions from nonpoint sources elsewhere -- a project that, if successful, could serve as a model for other interstate watersheds.
