EPA floats boat-engine air rule compliance delay

EPA has sent for White House review a proposal expected to give boat owners more time to comply with longstanding agency requirements to reduce emissions from marine diesel engines. The White House Office of Management & Budget (OMB) on April 10 received the proposed rule to “address concerns about the limited availability of certified Tier 4 engines that are appropriate for certain vessels,” according a OMB’s website.
