EPA touts ongoing decline in power plant air pollution

Citing recently released data, EPA is touting a “marked decline” in emissions of key air pollutants from power plants in 2020, continuing a long-term trend toward lower emissions from the sector as a result of reduced coal-fired generation, and a rise in natural gas-fired plants and renewable energy.
