GOP senators from oil refining states ask EPA for broad RFS waiver

A group of 15 GOP senators from oil refining states is urging EPA to use its general waiver authority to reduce renewable fuel standard (RFS) biofuel blending mandates in response to economic hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting slump in fuel demand, but ethanol advocates counter that the request is unwarranted.
