Public health groups file suit to undo EPA approval of California SIP

Environmental and public health groups are asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit to overturn EPA’s approval of a state implementation plan (SIP) for California’s San Joaquin Valley for cutting emissions and attaining national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
