Twelve states raise 'deep concern' over CPP repeal

A dozen states that support the Obama-era Clean Power Plan (CPP) greenhouse gas rule for existing power plants are urging the White House budget office to reconsider its review of an EPA proposal to repeal the CPP, saying a repeal would hurt public health and the economy and “is contrary to EPA's obligation to implement the Clean Air Act.” In a July 14 letter to White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, the states express “deep concern” with the pending EPA...
