Debate Increases Over ‘Offramp’ To Delay Some EPA Vehicle Standards

Industry groups are increasingly calling for some type of a regulatory offramp that could slow implementation of EPA’s pending vehicle emissions standards if charging infrastructure or other supports are slow to arrive, even as environmentalists argue such a mechanism could hamper regulatory certainty crucial to clean vehicle investments.
