In a win for environmental justice (EJ) advocates, a Louisiana court has rejected 14 Clean Air Act permits issued by the state’s Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) for a new plastics manufacturing complex after finding in part that regulators misapplied a Trump-era EPA guidance for estimating emissions and that the EJ analysis was flawed.
