EPA Plans To Replace Disputed Trump-Era Washington Toxics Water Rule

EPA is seeking to halt litigation challenging a Trump-era rule that loosened Obama-era water quality criteria for toxics in Washington state, one of the first such rules that sought to protect those that consume large amounts of locally caught fish, saying the agency believes it may not be protective and that officials plan to issue a new rule within 18 months.
