EPA Proposes Exempting Several PFAS Uses From TSCA Reporting Rule

The Trump EPA is proposing to amend the Biden-era TSCA reporting rule for PFAS-containing products by adding several industry-requested PFAS use exemptions in order to ease burdens on manufacturers, although the agency is also proposing to shorten the time that manufacturers will have to submit the data. “This Biden-era rule would have imposed crushing regulatory burdens and nearly $1 billion in implementation costs on American businesses,” said EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin in a Nov. 10 press release announcing the proposal...
